Boys golf fourth in HHC

The New Palestine boys golf team shot 335 Saturday to finish fourth in the Hoosier Heritage Conference meet at Albany Golf Club. Pendleton Heights won the title with a 306. Mt. Vernon was second (317) and Yorktown third (322). The Dragons tied with Shelbyville for fourth but won on the fifth score tiebreaker. Delta (350), Greenfield-Central (351) and New Castle (353) rounded out the field. Nick Barada's 77 led the Dragons and was an All-Conference performance. He finished seventh overall among the 40 participants. Luke Cofer added an 85 and Joey McPike an 86. Josiah Kissel and Ty Mitchell each shot 87s. The Dragons are back in action Tuesday at Antler Pointe against Rushville. The Dragons' JV faces Greenfield-Central and Mt. Vernon Monday at Hawk's Tail.
