Jacob Morris pitched a strong game Friday, but the New Palestine baseball team was held to two hits in a 1-0 loss to Perry Meridian. Morris allowed one run on three hits in the contest. A hit batter, sacrifice bunt, single and double-steal in the third gave the Falcons their lone run. The Dragons were held to two hits. Their best chance came in the second, when Jackson Kamp led off with a walk and moved to second on Ben Hirschy's one-out single. But two groundouts ended the threat. The Dragons' other hit came in the seventh, when Rigg Mahurin popped a one-out single. Morris struck out 10 in a complete game effort. The Dragons are now 17-5. They next play Monday at Scecina.
