The New Palestine girls tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to visiting Mt. Vernon Monday afternoon. Kaitlyn Mitchell fell 6-0, 7-5 at No. 1 singles, while Riley Watts dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision and Maizy Haynes fell 6-2, 7-6(3) at singles. At doubles, Bethany Blachly/Josephine Harvey fell 6-4, 6-1, while Emily Appleby/Amelia Schneider dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision. The Dragons are now 7-6 on the season and 4-2 in HHC play. They are back in action Tuesday at home against Greensburg.
