The New Palestine girls soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision Saturday on the road to Class 3A No. 7 Cathedral. The game, played on the turf at the FC Pride Performance Center, was a closely-played, tough battle as the Dragons forced the host Irish to work hard for every chance they had. Grace Hasenkamp made nine saves in the Dragons' net. Cathedral's lone goal came on a free kick midway through the first half. Gabrielle Brown earned the team's "hard hat" award. The Dragons dropped the JV game 2-0. The Dragons are now 7-3-1 on the season. They next play Monday at Franklin.
