New Palestine High School

The New Palestine tennis team swept Greenwood 5-0 Thursday on the road, winning four matches in straight sets. The Dragons swept the singles, as Kaitlyn Mitchell won 6-1, 6-0. Bethany Blachly took her match 6-1, 7-5, while Maizy Haynes won 6-2, 6-2. Josephine Harvey/Emily Appleby won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. Amelia Schneider/Riley Watts won at No. 2 doubles 6-1, 6-7(6), 6-3. The Dragons JV won 14-3. Kenzie Kleiman, Sophie Munson and Amelia Rojowski/Elliott Graham won in the first round of JV matches for the Dragons. The Dragons are now 6-2 on the season. They next play Friday at Shelbyville.
