New Palestine High School

The New Palestine tennis team dropped just two games Tuesday in a 5-0 sweep of Southwestern. Kaitlyn Mitchell, Maizy Haynes and Amelia Schneider/Riley Watts all won 6-0, 6-0. Bethany Blachly and Emily Appleby/Josephine Harvey won 6-1, 6-0. The Dragons won the JV match 2-0, with Alyssa Beller/Olivia Hart and Amaya Kennard/Sophie Crickmore winning. That came on the heels of a championship in Saturday's JV invitational. Sydney Walter, Alyssa Appleby/Elliott Graham and Kennard/Crickmore all finished first in their respective flights. Beller was third at No. 3 singles, while Watts placed fifth at No. 1 singles. The Dragons are now 5-2 on the season. They next play Thursday at Greenwood.
