New Palestine High School

The New Palestine tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision Thursday at home to Delta. All five matches were in straight sets. Kaitlyn Mitchell fell 6-0, 6-2; Bethany Blachly 6-0, 6-1 and Maizy Haynes 6-2, 6-2 at singles. At doubles, Josephine Harvey/Emily Appleby fell 6-0, 6-0, while Amelia Schneider/Riley Watts dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision. The Dragons are 4-2 overall and 2-1 in HHC play. They next play Saturday at the Plainfield Invitational. The Dragons JV fell 7-3. Winners were Amaya Kennard/Sophie Crickmore, Addison Ballard/Malina Mahurin and Alyssa Mitchell/Mattingly Tiede-White.
