The New Palestine girls tennis team swept Yorktown 5-0 Thursday to improve to 3-0 on the season. The Dragons also improved to 2-0 in conference play. All five wins were in straight sets. At singles, Katilyn Mitchell won 6-3, 6-3; Bethany Blachly won 6-4, 6-2; and Maizy Haynes posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory. At doubles, Josephine Harvey and Emily Appleby won 6-0, 6-3, while Amelia Schneider and Riley Watts won 6-1, 7-5. The Dragons compete again Friday in the Hancock County meet.
