New Palestine High School

The New Palestine tennis team swept Edinburgh 5-0 Tuesday to open the week. The Dragons swept the singles, with Kaitlyn Mitchell winning 6-1, 6-2, while Bethany Blachly won 6-1, 6-0 and Maizy Haynes 6-2, 6-0. At doubles, Josephine Harvey/Emily Appleby and Amelia Schneider/Riley Watts each won 6-0, 6-1. The Dragons' JV also won 5-0, with Kenzie Kleiman's 8-1 win at No. 1 singles leading the way. The Dragons are next in action Thursday at home against Yorktown.
