Volleyball falls at Martinsville

The New Palestine boys volleyball team tried to stage a late rally Tuesday, but fell in four sets at Martinsville. The Dragons dropped a 25-20, 25-21, 16-25, 25-20 decision to the Artesians, falling to 4-4 on the season. Chase Emberton had seven kills to lead the Dragons, while Eli Greene, Daysen Wood and Jaxon Hinkle had seven each. Wood, Hinkle and Kameron Engle each had two aces. Engle added 29 assists. Grenee, Emberton, Engle and Dontae Thompson tallied two blocks each. Eli Martin led the defense with 29 digs. Engle added 15. The Dragons next play Thursday at home against Franklin Central.
