The New Palestine boys volleyball team staged a late rally in the fourth set, then controlled the deciding one to beat Lawrence North 22-25, 25-15, 21-25, 26-24, 15-9 Thursday at LN. The Dragons trailed 22-18 in the fourth set before rallying to take a 23-22 lead. After a pair of ties at 23 and 24, the Dragons scored the last two points to clinch the set, then built an early lead and pulled away in the fifth set. Jaxon Hinkle had a double-double with 11 kills and 14 digs. Chase Emberton also had a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs. He had seven blocks. Daysen Wood also had 11 kills and three blocks. Kameron Engle added 39 assists and four aces. Eli Martin had 30 digs to lead the Dragons. Matthew Everett had 11 digs. Aaron Smith had four aces. The Dragons improved to 4-3 on the season with their second consecutive victory. They are next in action Tuesday at Martinsville.
