Volleyball sweeps Warren Central

The New Palestine volleyball team swept host Warren Central 25-13, 25-15, 25-12, improving to 6-1 on the season with the Wednesday victory. Playing their first match in a week, the Dragons received a balanced attack. Lauren Wilson led the way with 14 kills, while Reagan Kleiman added 11 kills and three blocks. Rachel Burke had seven kills and two blocks. Bella Brownfield had six kills, five digs and two aces. Isabella Gizzi had 35 assists, three kills and two aces. Honour Mallory led the defense with nine digs and two aces. The Dragons' JV won 25-10, 25-7. The C team won 25-12, 25-12. "A great win for all three teams tonight," Dragons coach Kelli Gabehart said. "We were able to fine tune what we have been working on in practice. We are really looking forward to our match against Greenfield-Central tomorrow." The Dragons' Thursday match at Greenfield-Central opens Hoosier Heritage Conference play. The JV match begins at 6 p.m., with the varsity to follow.
