New Palestine High School

The New Palestine tennis team finished second at Saturday's Noblesville Invitational. In the opening round, the Dragons beat Northwestern 3-2. Arjomand Khokhar won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2 singles and Brady Torzewski won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. At No. 2 doubles, Will Hahn/Joey McPike won 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 to clinch the match for the Dragons. The Dragons dropped a 5-0 decision to Noblesville in the championship match. Moses Haynes pushed his match to a super-tiebreaker at No. 1 singles before falling 1-6, 6-2, 10-8. The Dragons are now 3-6 on the season. They next compete Tuesday at home against Waldron.
