New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys wrestling team downed Greenfield-Central 41-27 Wednesday in a dual meet. Winners for the Dragons were Landon Stranger (113), Wes Harbert (120), Gunner Butt (126), Cole Vandygriff (132), Peyton Hornsby (138), Elijah Alonso (144), Jaedyn Jeffries (157) and Shaun Glass (215). The Dragons girls also won four of their seven matches against G-C, with Oliva Lemus, Ella Morris, Elizabeth Champ and Madisyn Covington all winning. June Wagner-Gilbert also won an exhibition match. The Dragons boys are now 4-1 on the season. They next compete Saturday in the Roncalli Duals. The girls are next in action Saturday at the Lebanon Invitational.
