Boys swimmers beat G-C

The New Palestine boys swimming and diving team downed Greenfield-Central 107-73 Tuesday at G-C, while the Dragons girls fell 137-49. Winners for the Dragons boys were James Watson in the 200 free (2:00.77), Reese Cox in the 200 IM (2:14.49), Dawson Lynch in the 50 free (24.12) and 100 backstroke (1:00.04) and Blake Hurst in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.97). The Dragons also swept the relays, with Lynch, Aidan Kingery, Jake Myers and Liam Fuller winning the 200 medley relay (1:48.88); Lynch, Fuller, Watson and Dontae Thompson the 200 free relay (1:35.18) and Watson, Kingery, Turner and Thompson the 400 free relay (3:38.51). Finishing second for the Dragons boys were Cade Rodgers in diving, Myers in the 100 butterfly, Watson in the 100 free and Cox in the 100 breaststroke. Also finishing second were Myers, Cox, Hurst and Ashton Turner in the 200 free relay Finishing second for the Dragons girls were Chloe Siler in the 50 free; the 200 medley relay of Rachel Hamilton, Lillie Abernathy, Sullie Leavell and Adrianna Huston; and the 200 free relay of Siler, Abernathy, Leavell and Huston. The Dragons are next in action Thursday at home against Perry Meridian.
