Girls basketball falls at Rushville

The New Palestine girls basketball team built an 11-point fourth-quarter lead, but eventually fell 51-48 at Rushville. The Lions used an 18-2 run to turn a 43-32 Dragon lead into a 50-45 edge down the stretch. The Dragons 26-24 at haltime behind Allie Blum's 18 points. They led 39-32 going into the final quarter. They scored the first four points of the fourth before the Rushville run. Blum led the Dragons with 25 points. Vivian Miller added nine and Kendra Moore seven. Kylee Beranek scored four points, Sadey Hughbanks two and Kenna Tweedy one. The Dragons (2-4) are next in action Saturday at Whiteland. 12-24-32-51 12-26-39-48
