Nearby lightning cut Wednesday's golf match between New Palestine and Mt. Vernon short, but not before all four Dragons seniors were able to finish on the Dragons' Senior Night. The Dragons fell to Mt. Vernon 165-187. Lauren Deering led the Dragons with a 40. Tessa Mohr shot 43 and Carlee Poorbaugh 44. Haidyn Lavish carded a 60. Afterward, the Dragons moved indoors to celebrate their four seniors and their accomplishments - which, so far, have included three sectional championships and two team State Finals trips in the last four years. The Dragons will next compete Monday in the IHSAA sectional at The Links.
