New Palestine High School

The New Palestine volleyball team went 2-1 Saturday in the Greenwood Invitational, winning two close matches and dropping a three-setter. In the opening match, the Dragons beat Chatard 25-23, 25-21. Adelynn Crispin had five kills and nine digs. Emmi Robinson added eight digs and three aces. Elena Cook had six kills and three blocks. Cara Steele also had six kills. Ella Moeller tallied four kills. Kennedy Armstrong had 14 assists, while Brileigh Tincher had eight. In the second match, the Dragons fell to Lebanon 20-25, 25-16, 15-10. Robinson had 22 digs, while Beth Comer had seven. Cook and Crispin tallied seven kills each. The Dragons dispatched Decatur Central in three sets in their final match, winning 23-25, 25-8, 15-10. Cook had 11 kills and Crispin had eight kills and 10 digs. Caylee Brown had eight kills, Cara Steele seven and Brooklyn Crim three. Robinson had 12 digs and Tincher nine. Armstrong tallied 20 assists. The Dragons are now 15-1 on the season. They next play Tuesday at home against Delta.
