New Palestine High School

Sydnee Frank scored a first-half brace Thursday, leading the New Palestine girls soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Hoosier Heritage Conference rival Yorktown. Frank scored on a shot from the top of the box in the sixth minute to give the Dragons a 1-0 lead. She extended the lead in the 29th minute. Yorktown found an equalizer in the second half, but the Dragons were able to see out the victory. The Dragons are now 6-1 on the season and 2-0 in Hoosier Heritage Conference play. They next play Wednesday at home against Mt. Vernon.
