New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls soccer team played a strong defensive game Friday, but fell 3-1 to No. 8 East Central in the sectional semifinal at Shelbyville. The Dragons finish the season with a 10-7-1 record. East Central scored in the opening minutes and added a goal in the closing minutes of the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the break. The Trojans added a second-half goal before Hannah Sund scored in the 73rd minute to put the Dragons on the board.
