New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls golf team won a storm-shortened six-hole match Wednesday at Brickyard Crossing, shooting 131 over six holes to beat Avon (140) and Speedway (149). Lauren Deering carded a 26 for six holes. She was able to finish the full nine-hole round and shot a one-under par 35 on the Pete Dye layout. Other six-hole scores for the Dragons - Tessa Mohr shot 34, Jozlynn Hart 35, Aubree Amback 36 and Carlee Poorbaugh 38. The Dragons are next in action Saturday at the Connersville Invitational at Arbor Crossing CC.
