Twin tiebreakers rally boys tennis to victory at Franklin

Twins Brock and Jack Hehmann rallied to win their second sets, then both won super-tiebreakers to lead the New Palestine boys tennis team to a 3-2 victory over Franklin. Playing in the top two singles spots, the Hehmann brothers both dropped their first sets, then won the second set by a break. At No. 2 singles, Jack Hehmann then won his tiebreaker to win 1-6, 7-5, 10-5. That squared the match at 2-2. On an adjacent court, Brock Hehmann split the first two sets 4-6, 6-4. The super-tiebreaker was equally tight. Brock won 12-10 win The Dragons' other victory came at No. 2 doubles, where freshmen Blake Wilson and Ian Uhl won their varsity debuts 6-2, 7-5. The Dragons' two defeats were also close. Jack Peterson fell 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3 singles. At No. 1 doubles, Gavin Berry/Jacob Kleine fell 6-4, 6-1. The Dragons JV fell 3-2. Cooper Harman and Wes Busby were the Dragons' winners. The Dragons are now 4-1. They next play Wednesday at Greenfield-Central.
