New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys soccer team dominated the last 30 minutes and pressed for an equalizer, but eventually fell 2-1 Tuesday at Whiteland. Ethan Kihiu scored with 17 minutes to go off a free kick, drawing the Dragons within one. They continued to control play and generate chances, but were unable to score despite several shots. Whiteland scored in the first half on a penalty kick which the Dragons vehemently disputed. The Warriors added an early second-half goal on a rebound off a far-post cross. The Dragons are now 0-4 on the season. They next play Thursday at Franklin Central. The Dragons JV won 3-0.
