New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls soccer team won its home opener Monday, beating Richmond 11-0. The Dragons scored eight times in the first half and triggered the mercy rule at the 60th minute. Freshman Reese Davison had her second four-goal game in as many starts this season. Hannah Sund and Ady Eakin each scored twice. Hailey Pardieck, Macy Thomas and Sydnee Frank also scored for the Dragons. Eakin, Kiley Corman and Lynley Brown shared the clean sheet in goal. The Dragons are now 2-0. They next play Wednesday at Shelbyville. The Dragons JV won 14-0. Teagan Knox scored four goals. Madelyn Fox and Olivia Newkirk shared the shutout in goal.
