The New Palestine girls volleyball team pulled out a tight fourth set to win a thrilling 25-19, 15-25, 25-14, 26-24 match over Guerin Catholic in the Dragons' home opener. The Dragons are now 4-0 on the season. "Such a great win," Dragons coach Kelli Gabehart said. "Really proud of how the team battled tonight. Everyone played a factor in our win." The Dragons had contributions from throughout their lineup. Elena Cook paced the offense with 12 kills on 17 attempts. She also had three aces and two blocks. Caylee Brown, Adelynn Crispin and Cara Steele all had nine kills each. Crispin also had eight digs, while Brown had two blocks. Kennedy Armstrong had 26 assists to help quarterback the offense, while adding eight digs. Kelly Sevier added 14 assists. Beth Comer led the Dragons at the service line with five aces. She added eight digs. Emmi Robinson led the defense with 13 digs. The Dragons are next in action Saturday in the Southport Invitational.
