The New Palestine boys soccer team dropped a tough 0-0 (3-1) match Thursday at Kelso Stadium to visiting Yorktown. The Dragons outplayed the Tigers in the second half, outshooting Yorktown 13-9 for the game and 9-5 after halftime, but were unable to find the net. The Dragons' best chance in regulation came when Noah Diaz De Leon rocketed a long shot off the goalpost midway through the second half. In the final 20 seconds of extra time, the Dragons drew a penalty kick, but it was stopped. Yorktown outscored the Dragons 3-1 in a four-round shootout. The Dragons are now 0-2 (0-1 HHC). They next play Saturday against Brownsburg. The Dragons JV won 2-1.
