The New Palestine boys tennis team dropped its home opener Wednesday 5-0 to Delta. At No. 1 singles, Carson Rush pushed his first set to a tiebreaker before falling 7-6(4), 6-1. Tyler Walter fell 6-0, 6-2 and Brock Hehmann dropped a 6-0, 6-0 decision at the other two singles spots. Brady Groce/Jack Hehmann had a solid match at No. 2 doubles, falling 6-4, 6-3. At No. 1 doubles, Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison fell 6-0, 6-1. The Dragons JV won 4-1. Blake Wilson, Braedyn Shaffer, Sean Pearson and Gavin Berry/Ian Uhl all won. The Dragons are now 2-1 (0-1 HHC). They play their fourth match in as many days Thursday at Yorktown.
