New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys tennis team opened its season Monday with a 5-0 road victory at Greensburg. The Dragons won all five matches in straight sets, dropping only nine games in the process. Carson Rush won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Tyler Walter (6-1, 6-0) and Brock Hehmann (6-0, 6-1) swept their matches. Jackson Clark/Davis Harrison won 6-2, 6-0 and Brady Groce/Jack Hehmann won 6-1, 6-0 at doubles. The Dragons JV won 5-0. Blake Wilson, Braedyn Shaffer, Sean Pearson, Gavin Berry/Ian Uhl and Cooper Harmon/Sam Busby all won. The Dragons (1-0) are back in action Tuesday at Whiteland.
