New Palestine High School

The New Palestine boys golf team shot 302 Monday to win its first-ever sectional championship. The Dragons beat second-place Eastern Hancock by seven strokes in the meet at Hawk's Tail in Greenfield. Cooper Hurst finished third overall with a 74. Will Clark shot 75 and was fifth overall. Luke Cofer added a 76, Andrew Wooton a 77 and Jackson Smith's 80 was the fifth score. The Dragons advance to Thursday's regional at The Players Club in Yorktown.
