New Palestine High School

The New Palestine golf team shot 358 as a team Saturday to win the New Palestine Invitational championship at Blue Bear Golf Club in Shelbyville. Zoe Nelson shot 87 to lead the Dragons. Katie Kelley added an 88, Kate Stanfield a 91 and Lauren Appleby fired a 92. Heritage Christian finished second with a 389. The New Palestine White team finished third with a 410. Lily Kirchner led the Dragons' second team with a 90, while Janie Hamilton shot 101. Greenfield-Central was fourth with a 411, Mt. Vernon fifth with a 413 and Greenwood Christian sixth with 419. The Dragons are back in action Monday at Hawk's Tail against Franklin Central and Greenfield-Central.
