The New Palestine girls tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision Wednesday at Bishop Chatard. Macy Thomas ground out a tight 6-7(12), 6-4, 10-8 victory at No. 3 singles for the Dragons. Malina Mahurin fell 6-0, 6-0 and Riley Watts dropped a 6-1, 7-5 decision at singles. Alyssa Appleby/Elliott Graham fell 6-2, 6-4, while Addison Ballard/Alyssa Beller dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision at doubles. The Dragons JV won 3-2, with Amelia Kell, Madelyn Fox/Kaceie Ferree and Ellie Armstrong/Sydney Walter all winning. The Dragons are now 10-8 on the season. They next play Thursday at Shelbyville.
