The New Palestine girls tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision Monday to Mt. Vernon. Riley Watts had the Dragons' victory, a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles. At No. 2 doubles, Addison Ballard/Alyssa Beller battled but fell 4-6, 6-2, 6-2. Macy Thomas had a tight 6-2, 6-4 loss at No. 3 singles. At No. 1 singles, Arabella Deisher fell 6-1, 6-1, while Alyssa Appleby/Elliott Graham fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. The JVs tied 7-7. Amelia Kell, Madelyn Fox, Sophie Munson/Ellie Armstrong, Sophie Crickmore/Amaya Kennard, Ella Flannagan/Ava Forsythe, Alyssa Mitchell/Kenzie Baker and Abigail Hulet/Sofia Delgado all won. The Dragons are now 10-6 and 3-2 in HHC play. They next play Tuesday at home against Greensburg.
