Tennis streak snapped

The New Palestine boys tennis team saw its winning streak snapped at seven matches Wednesday as it fell 3-2 to Mt. Vernon at home. The Dragons are now 9-5 with one regular season match remaining - Thursday's Senior Day against Chatard. They finish conference play with a 4-3 record. Brady Torzewski remained unbeaten at No. 3 singles, winning 6-3, 6-3. The Dragons' other victory came at No. 1 doubles, where Max Havel and Joey McPike won 6-0, 3-6, 6-2. MV had two early wins at No. 2 singles, where Arjomand Khokhar fell 6-3, 6-0, and at No. 2 doubles, where Eli Sloan and Tyler Wilson fell 6-2, 6-1. At No. 1 singles, Moses Haynes dropped a 2-6, 6-3, 4-0 decision before withdrawing from the match in the third set.
