The New Palestine volleyball team dropped a 25-18, 25-23, 25-21 decision Thursday at Pendleton Heights. Azure Flagle had 25 digs to lead the Dragons' back line, while Makaeli Johnson added 11. Bella Brownfield had 12 kills and eight digs. Nyla Lewis had four kills. Sam Gooding added 28 assists. "We got off to a slow start and couldn’t overcome it," Dragons coach Kelli Gabehart said. "We struggled to find the floor offensively. Azure played outstanding in the back row digging up 25 balls in three sets. This was a tough week with three matches back to back. I don’t think we had enough gas in the tank tonight." The Dragons are back in action Monday at home against Mooresville.
