New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls golf team won two matches Thursday, shooting 180 to defeat Lawrence Central and Southport. LC shot 195, while the host Cardinals shot 208. Zoe Nelson led the Dragons with a 43. Kate Stanfield shot 44 and Lauren Appleby 45. Hanna Beller and Katie Kelley each shot 48s to round out the Dragons' scoring. Lily Kirchner and Janie Hamilton each shot 50s. The Dragons are now 4-1. They next play Saturday at the New Palestine Invitational, which will be held at Blue Bear Golf Club in Shelbyville.
