The New Palestine volleyball team rallied from a seven-point deficit in the fourth set to beat Delta 28-26, 22-25, 25-20, 25-21 for a road HHC victory. The Dragons called timeout down 14-7 in the third set and began to chip away. A four-point service run by Bella Brownfield drew the Dragons within one at 18-17 and forced a Delta timeout. Sam Gooding then went on a four-point run to put the Dragons up 22-18 and they finished off the victory from there. "I’m so proud of them for not giving up," Dragons coach Kelli Gabehart said. "Huge conference win. Anytime you win in Delaware County, it’s something to celebrate." Brownfield had a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs. Rachel Burke added 17 kills and Natalie Sevier six. Gooding had 40 assists. Azure Flagle led the defense with 20 digs, while Makaeli Johnson added 11. The Dragons are now 14-2 and 1-1 in Hoosier Heritage Conference play. They next play Wednesday at home against Perry Meridian.
