New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls tennis team swept the doubles Saturday to win its second match in as many days, beating Heritage Christian 4-1. Alyssa Beller/Elliott Graham won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 doubles. Alyssa Appleby/Addison Ballard posted a 6-4, 7-6(3) victory at No. 2 doubles. The Dragons won two of the three singles matches. Arabella Deisher won 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1. Riley Watts won a third-set tiebreak to win 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(5). At No. 3 singles, Macy Thomas dropped a 6-1, 6-2 match to an experienced senior. The Dragons are now 2-1 on the season. They next play Tuesday at home against Triton Central.
