Arabella Deisher took command in the third set to win No. 1 singles and deliver a 3-2 victory for the New Palestine girls tennis team Friday at New Castle. Deisher won 6-2, 0-6, 6-3 to clinch the match for the Dragons. Earlier, Macy Thomas won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. Alyssa Appleby/Addison Ballard won 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles. At No. 2 singles, Riley Watts dropped a close 6-3, 6-4 match. Alyssa Beller/Elliott Graham fell 6-3, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles. The Dragons are now 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in HHC play. They compete Saturday at Heritage Christian.
