The New Palestine gymnastics team won its fourth straight sectional championship Saturday, scoring 107.2 points to win the six-team Connersville sectional. The Dragons won three of the four individual events and swept the top three spots in the all-around. The Dragons finished ahead of New Castle (103.475), Connersville (99.25), Rushville (86.9), Richmond (86.45) and Shelbyville (81.175). Lynzie Stiller was the all-around sectional champion, scoring 35.6. Lexi Hall was second (35.55) and Olivia Frank third (35.525). Hall won the vault title with a 9.15. Stiller was second (9.025). Frank finished eighth (8.6). The Dragons swept the top three spots on uneven bars. Hall won (8.85), with Stiller (8.775) and Olivia Clark (8.575) second and third. Frank was sixth (8.275). Frank won the balance beam with a 9.25. Kalle Jones was sixth (8.35) and Stiller eighth (8.175). On floor, Stiller finished second with a 9.625. Hall was third (9.425), Frank fourth (9.4) and Jones sixth (9..35). The Dragons advance as a team to Friday's Franklin Central regional at The Gymnastics Company. The sectional title was the 14th in the program's history, tied for the 11th most in IHSAA history.
