New Palestine High School

The New Palestine Red golf team shot a 347 Saturday at The Links, winning the New Palestine Invitational title. The Dragons were led by Katie Kelley, who shot an 81 and finished second overall in the tournament. Lauren Appleby added an 86 and Lauren Deering an 88. Hanna Beller shot 92, while Lily Kirchner's 93 was the fifth score. With 32 putts, Deering led the Dragons on the greens. The Dragons White team shot 395, with Janie Hamilton's personal-best 94 leading the way. Matti Tiede-White also shot a personal best with a 98. Kate Stanfield shot 98, while Tessa Mohr carded a 105 and Alyssa Beller 113. The Dragons are next in action Tuesday at the Hancock County meet.
