Wrestling wins three at Penn

The New Palestine boys wrestling team had a big day Saturday, going 3-1 at the Henry Wilk Classic at Penn High School. The 3A No. 6 Dragons opened the day with a 37-34 win over Homestead. They followed with a 48-36 victory over Mishawaka. NP suffered its lone loss of the day in the third match, falling 42-32 to 4A No. 8 Penn in a back-and-forth contest. The Dragons finished with a 52-24 victory over Fort Wayne Snider. Four Dragons went unbeaten on the day. Blake Doss went 4-0 at 113, Gunner Butt at 150, Colin Whetsel at 215 and William Glesing at 285. The Dragons are now 11-3 on the season. They next compete Dec. 30 in the Evansville Mater Dei Holiday Classic.
