New Palestine High School

The New Palestine wrestling teams traveled northeast and swept county rival Greenfield-Central Wednesday night in a pair of dual meets. The Dragons boys beat the Cougars 62-15. The biggest win for the Dragons came from Carson Clements, who defeated a wrestler ranked 10th in the state. Blake Doss, Wes Harbert, King Tavorn, Braeden Lintner, Landon Stranger, Gunner Butt, Ryker Yonts, Gabe Flick, Isaiah Jones and William Glesing all won for the Dragons, who won 11 of the 14 weight classes. The Dragons girls posted nine victories to beat G-C 48-18. Winners were Calie Means, Kalissa Jacobs, Callee Rains, June Wagner-Gilbert, Bellamy Reardon, Elizabeth Champ, Reagan Fortier and Miranda LaRoche. The Dragons boys are now 2-1 on the year. They next compete Saturday in the Roncalli Duals. The Dragons girls are 5-1 in dual meets. They are next in action Saturday at the Indian Creek Invitational.
