Swimmers compete at MV

The New Palestine swimming and diving teams competed Tuesday in a dual meet at Mt. Vernon. The Dragons boys fell 97-78, while the girls dropped a 110-75 decision. Winning for the Dragons girls were Isabelle Tull in diving (233.05) and Piper Schaefer in the 100 butterfly (1:16.46). Individuals finishing second for the Dragons girls were Lillie Abernathy in the 200 IM, Gwen Melby in the 50 freestyle and Ansley Tucker in the 100 freestyle. Winning for the Dragons boys was Max Watson in the 100 freestyle (57.57). Individuals finishing second were Jake Myers in the 200 IM, Max Watson in the 50 freestyle, Sam Dobbins in the 500 freestyle and Reese Cox in the 100 backstroke. The Dragons are next in action Saturday at the East Central Relays.
