New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls wrestling team finished second in Saturday's 22-team Ben Davis Invitational. Eight Dragons placed in the meet. Miranda LaRoche was second at 190, going 2-1 on the day. June Wagner-Gilbert (135) and Lilly Nichols (235) were both third, going 4-1. Finishing fourth were Calie Means (120), Kalissa Jacobs (125), Bellamy Reardon (140), Elizabeth Champ (155) and Reagan Fortier (170). All went 3-2 except Reardon, who was 2-2 on the day. The Dragons are next in action Nov. 29 at The Gobbler Invitational at Lawrence Central.
