Volleyball improves to 3-0

The New Palestine volleyball team improved to 3-0 on the season Thursday with a 25-11, 25-16, 25-15 victory at Guerin Catholic. Natalie Sevier had nine kills to lead the Dragons attack. Hayden Ramsey added eight kills and four blocks. Bella Brownfield had six kills, five digs and two blocks. Nyla Lewis tallied five kills. Rachel Burke had three kills, three blocks and three aces. Sam Gooding paced the offense with 30 assists, three blocks and two kills. Defensively, Azure Flagle tallied 12 digs and Kyndra Monteith 10. Makaeli Johnson added six digs and three aces. The Dragons won the JV match 25-13, 25-21. The freshmen also won 25-23, 11-25, 15-12. The Dragons are next in action Saturday at the Southport Invitational.
