The New Palestine girls golf team won a home match Thursday, beating Lawrence Central and Southport at The Links. The Dragons and Lawrence Central both scored 200, but the Dragons won on the fifth score tiebreaker. Southport shot 208. Janie Hamilton led the Dragons with a 46. Hanna Beller shot 47, Matti Tiede-White 50 and Alyssa Beller 57. Tessa Mohr's 64 was the tiebreaking fifth score that delivered the Dragons the victory. Alyssa Beller led the Dragons on the greens with 18 putts in the nine-hole round. The Dragons (4-0) are next in action Monday at Hawk's Tail against Franklin Central and Greenfield-Central.
