New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls wrestling team opened its season Saturday at the New Palestine Invitational. Eight of the nine Dragons wrestlers placed. Bellamy Reardon won the title at 140. June Wagner-Gilbert (135) and Reagan Fortier (170) both finished third. Callee Rains (130) and Lilly Nichols (235) were both fourth. Elizabeth Champ was sixth at 155. Calie Means (115) and Kalissa Jacobs (120) both finished seventh. The Dragons finished ninth of 28 teams. The Dragons are next in action Wednesday with a triangular meet against Beech Grove and Lebanon.
