New Palestine High School

The New Palestine girls golf team played a tough course Thursday but came away with a 192-194 victory over Noblesville at Harbour Trees. Lauren Appleby and Lauren Deering each shot 47 to lead the Dragons. Lily Kirchner added a 48. Kate Stanfield and Matti Tiede-White each shot 50s. Katie Kelley added a 51, while Hanna Beller and Janie Hamilton each shot 52. Appleby led the Dragons on the course's fast greens, with 17 putts. The Dragons are next in action Saturday morning at Edgewood Golf Club in Anderson at the Lapel Invitational.
