The New Palestine wrestling team saw its season conclude at Saturday’s New Castle semistate.

The Dragons had three wrestlers compete in the semistate. Each won his first-round match but was defeated in the quarterfinals – the “ticket round.”

At 132, Christian White won his first-round match 13-1 over Fishers’ Zach Strueder. He dropped a 5-2 decision to Lawrence North’s Anthony Hughes in the quarterfinals. He finishes his season with a 28-3 mark.

At 195, Richard Clevenger beat Southmont’s Wyatt Woodall 3-1 in the opening round. He fell 8-7 to East Central’s Ryan Bovard in the quarterfinals to finish his senior season 26-6.

At 220, Tucker Keevers won a 3-2 decision over Lebanon’s Nick Morgan in the opening round. He lost by fall to Connersville’s Evan Shafer. Keevers finished his senior season with a 25-5 record.
