The New Palestine swim teams opened the second half of their seasons Thursday at home against Franklin Central.
The Dragon girls dropped a 129-56 decision. The NP boys fell 121-64 to the Flashes.
The Dragon boys won four events. Jack Schwartz won the 50 and 100 freestyle races. Austin Lines won diving. The team of Chase Martin, Ben Miesse, Quincy Shirk and Schwartz won the 200 free relay.
Placing second for the Dragon boys were Shirk in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke and Miesse in the 100 freestyle. Individual thirds went to Miesse in the 200 freestyle, Darrell Drake in diving and Eli Kleine in the 100 butterfly.
Adrianna Huston won one event for the Dragon girls, the 200 freestyle. Finishing second for the NP girls were Sullie Leavell in the 200 IM, Huston in the 100 freestyle. Also placing second were the 200 and 400 free relay teams of Leavell, Katelyn Trimpe, Kayleigh Wright and Huston. Individual thirds went to Wright in the 50 freestyle, Alayna Walker in diving, Trimpe in the 500 freestyle, Leavell in the 100 butterfly and Lillie Poag in the 100 breaststroke.
The NP boys are now 3-4 in dual and triangular meets, while the girls are 7-4.
The Dragons next compete Tuesday at home against Beech Grove.
